Technical requirements for Absence and Presence

THESE ARE A GENERAL GUIDE ONLY. PLEASE REQUEST A TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION SPECIFIC TO YOUR VENUE.

General requirements

  • A Performance space of a minimum of 8 metres x 8 metres
  • A white dance floor
  • A white back drop/cyc that is the same width as the white floor
  • Full sound system, amp, and speakers
  • CD player for pre- and post-show music.
  • Lights, sound and video need to be operated from one position by one person.

Special Equipment

  • Television Set with a large screen (21 to 25  inches) Not widescreen, normal 4 x 3 ratio. It must have its own internal speakers.
  • TV stand with wheels (depending on transportation we may be able to bring this). The TV is moved from centre stage to down stage left during the performance.
  • We will provide a DVD player, and this will be the source for the images on the TV and all the sound. The set up needs to be such that the DVD can be operated from the LX & sound position. The audio output from the DVD player needs to be able to be mixed between the television’s internal speakers and the main PA.

Lighting

  • Lighting specifications will depend on the venue size, layout and technical specifications. Please request a lighting plan.
  • In addition to the overhead rig, we require 4 booms on each side of the stage, circuits for 3 hanging practicals and 2 circuits for practicals situated at stage level mid-stage-right.
